THE OLDE TOWN PUB

It's no surprise that Olde Town Pub (OTP) has found itself featured on The Drinkers Choice Club's "Supporting Local" After all, this locally owned pub has proudly been in business for 15 successful years in the small town of Leonardtown, Md, and it shows!
Known for their award-winning wings and their many flavors, any local will tell you, "The wings are the best in town". So much so that they even have their own Wing Wagon that they take out to local town events, and the lines are always long!

If you're a beer snob then you'll love the forever rotating craft beer that they have on tap where you'll find a nice selection of Lagers, IPAs, Sours and so much more... It's always a good time at OTP when they host one of their "Tap Takeover" events where you can try a variety of beers from one brewery.

Between the tasty food that never seems to disappoint, the highly anticipated "James' monthly specials", to the weekly happy hour that gather the town locals, you're sure to have a difficult time deciding what you favor most about this classic pub! Did I mention, their hand-crafted Seasonal Cocktails that roll out every few months?
If there's one thing this Local Pub has mastered, it's the welcoming environment, the sense of belonging... a little "Cheers bar" vibe if you will ...
It really says a lot about a business when their employee turnover rate is low, and their table/ barstool turnover is high.

If you ever make your way to this small tourist town, be sure to stop in for some great food, great drinks and great service.
Make sure you're following OTP on Facebook to stay up to date on all of their latest events, music and specials. If you're lucky you'll be able to snag some of the newest OTP swag in one of their Giveaways! Otherwise, you can purchase some gear when you visit!

THE DRINKERS CHOICE CLUB SITS DOWN WITH THE OLDE TOWN PUB FOR AN INTERVIEW...
As you know this industry is one of the most difficult industries to enter into and stay in. What is the driving force behind this business?
The driving force for me is supporting the local community where I've spent my entire life. It's satisfying to have so many regulars who I now consider family. It's also nice to offer a place where people celebrate so many special occasions-birthdays, retirements, weddings etc.
You seem to stay ahead in the industry. How do you separate yourself from your competitors?
We try to have a certain atmosphere that welcomes all types of groups: sports fans, families and people looking for good food and drink. We also try to plan events such as music, giveaways, tap takeovers and theme events to entice people to come see what we offer.
This is "The Drinkers Choice Club", So, what's the Drinkers Choice? What are your top sellers?
Our calling card is our draft beer selection. We try to features Maryland breweries with unusual and exciting new flavors. We also have rotating seasonal cocktails which our bartenders collaborate on which are always popular. In addition we've become known for our Irish breakfast shots which seem to be a customer favorite when celebrating a special event.
Your staff is a huge part of your success. If I were to sit down with them, what would they say the best part of their employment is?
I think the way we make them feel appreciated. We realize that they are the critical piece to our success. They are an extension of the owners and if they make customers feel welcome and appreciated then they will continue to come back.
To your current and future customers... what is your message to them?
Thank you for being an integral part of our success. We want your experience to be top notch and don't ever think any detail is too small to bring to our attention. We welcome all feedback for that allows us to grow and succeed.
The Drinkers Choice Club wishes you many more years of Success! Thanks for sitting down with us and allowing us into your world! CHEERS!
